01.What stores can KoreaBox buy from?

We buy from B2C Korean online stores that can ship to a Korean address, including beauty, fashion, K-pop, book, and brand-owned shops.

Common examples include Olive Young, Musinsa, Zigzag, 29CM, Weverse Shop, Aladin, and official Korean brand stores. Some stores can be fetched automatically in the order form; others need manual product details.

Bunjang is supported through a separate request lane with seller review. It is not part of the normal B2C manual order lane.

02.Is KoreaBox a Korean proxy shopping service?

Yes, in search terms: KoreaBox is a Korean proxy shopping service for overseas buyers. In plain language, you send us Korean store links, we buy the items in Korea, receive them at our warehouse, then ship them overseas.

KoreaBox is a buying service only. We cannot receive items you already own. Standard checkout is for B2C Korean stores; Bunjang requests are handled in a separate seller-review lane, and other person-to-person marketplaces remain unsupported.

03.Can KoreaBox buy from Bunjang?

Yes, Bunjang requests are supported as a separate seller-review lane. Because Bunjang is a person-to-person marketplace, KoreaBox reviews the listing and seller path before seller contact or purchase.

This lane applies only to Bunjang listings. Pocamarket, KREAM resale, X/Twitter sellers, fansites, private sellers, Junggonara, Karrot, and other C2C marketplaces are not included unless KoreaBox announces a separate policy.

04.How long does the whole process take?

The timeline has two parts: Korean domestic purchase and arrival, then international shipping after final measurement.

Timing depends on store stock, seller shipping speed, consolidation, and your destination. KoreaBox shows estimates when possible, then confirms shipping after the packed parcel is measured.

Two-stage flow
05.Can I combine items from multiple stores?

Yes. Free consolidation is part of the standard service. You can order from multiple Korean stores and have the items combined into one outbound shipment when possible.

We also include basic repacking, basic visual inspection, and unnecessary packaging removal at no extra charge.

Fees & payment

5 questions
01.How is KoreaBox pricing calculated?

Your order starts with Product Total, shown in USD, and a separate Service Fee (10%). The USD product price already includes the payment cost needed to buy in Korea, so that cost does not appear later as a surprise checkout line.

A $8 minimum applies to small orders when the calculated service amount would be lower. International shipping is paid later, after KoreaBox receives, repacks, and measures the parcel.

10% service fee$8 minimum
02.How are Bunjang request fees calculated?

Bunjang requests use the normal KoreaBox pricing first: item USD plus the 10% service fee, with the same minimum service fee floor.

Because Bunjang requires seller communication and marketplace-risk review, a separate $5 Bunjang handling fee applies per seller conversation. If the same seller conversation covers multiple listings in one purchase attempt, that is one Bunjang handling fee. Different sellers are charged separately.

If Bunjang, the seller, or a protected-payment path adds a platform fee, KoreaBox passes that cost through at cost. Extra seller-facing media or condition requests may add $3 per request.

Bunjang fee$5 per seller$3 extra request
03.Is Bunjang protected payment the same as insurance?

No. Protected payment or an escrow-like payment path can reduce some payment-path risk, but it is not KoreaBox insurance and it does not guarantee authenticity, condition grade, hidden defects, or seller recovery.

If a protected-payment or platform fee applies, KoreaBox passes the quote-time cost through at cost instead of publishing a fixed percentage. The actual seller/platform quote at purchase time is the ground truth.

Protected paymentNot insuranceMarketplace risk
04.Why is shipping not paid during the first checkout?

Shipping is the second payment because the billable weight is only known after your Korean store packages arrive and KoreaBox measures the packed parcel.

You see the measured parcel details and final shipping cost before anything ships overseas.

05.What payment methods do you accept?

KoreaBox currently accepts PayPal, which can support PayPal balance, credit cards, and debit cards depending on your PayPal account and country.

You approve two payments: item payment first, final shipping payment later.

3 questions
01.What shipping options are available?

KoreaBox currently offers Economy and EMS, depending on your destination and parcel size.

Economy is the lower-cost tracked option where supported. EMS is Korea Post express mail for faster delivery. Premium courier routes are not part of standard checkout right now; if one is available for your parcel, KoreaBox will tell you separately.

EconomyEMS
02.How is final shipping calculated?

Final shipping is based on the measured parcel after consolidation and repacking. Carriers may bill by the higher of actual weight or volumetric weight.

That is why early shipping numbers are estimates. The final amount is confirmed after KoreaBox measures the packed parcel.

Actual weightVolumetric weight
03.Who pays customs duties and import taxes?

Import duties, VAT, GST, customs brokerage, and similar charges are generally the buyer responsibility and are set by your destination country.

KoreaBox provides accurate customs declarations based on the products purchased, but tax collection rules differ by country and may happen at checkout, on delivery, or through the carrier.

Items & quality

3 questions
01.What items can't KoreaBox ship?

Hard-blocked item groups include perfumes and alcohol-based fragrance, aerosols or pressurized cans, and large liquid volumes over 100ml.

Lithium battery products are different. In many cases, KoreaBox can remove the battery for $3/item, discard the cell in Korea, and ship the remaining product by air when the item can be safely separated.

Restricted itemsBattery removal
02.Do you inspect items before sending them overseas?

Yes. Basic arrival photos and visual inspection are included as part of receiving. KoreaBox checks for obvious issues such as wrong color, wrong size, visible damage, or store packing problems before overseas shipping.

If something looks wrong when it arrives at our warehouse, we can contact you before international shipping, when store returns are still more realistic.

03.What extra services can I add?

Included receiving services cover consolidation, basic repacking, basic arrival photos, basic visual inspection, and unnecessary packaging removal when possible.

Paid services are Vacuum Packing ($5/order), K-pop unsealing ($1/album), and Battery Removal ($3/item).

Refunds & storage

4 questions
01.Can I cancel my order?

Before KoreaBox purchases the items from the Korean store, you can cancel for a full refund.

After purchase, a refund may still be possible if the seller accepts the return, but deductions apply: the non-refundable 10% service fee, a $10/item return handling fee, domestic return shipping, and non-refundable payment costs.

After international shipment, returns and refunds are not available because the parcel has already left Korea and shipping costs cannot be reversed.

02.What if a Bunjang seller does not reply, cancels, or changes the price?

Bunjang seller response and availability are not guaranteed. If the seller changes the price, shipping, bundle terms, or availability before purchase, KoreaBox asks you to approve or cancel before proceeding.

Before KoreaBox starts seller contact or a purchase attempt, the Bunjang handling fee can be refunded. After seller contact or purchase attempt starts, the Bunjang handling fee is non-refundable because the seller review and communication work has already begun.

Platform or protected-payment fees are refunded only to the extent the platform or payment path returns them.

03.What happens if the store sends the wrong or damaged item?

If KoreaBox or the Korean store is at fault, such as a wrong item, wrong size or color, or a serious visible defect found during inspection, the normal cancellation deductions do not apply.

We will contact you before international shipping and explain the available options, such as seller exchange or seller refund.

04.How long can my items stay at the KoreaBox warehouse?

Storage is free for 30 days from the first item arrival at the warehouse.

From day 31 to day 60, storage is $1/day per box. After 60 days, the order may be treated as abandoned and disposed of after KoreaBox sends the required notices.
